Fausta. Augusta, AD 324-326. Æ Follis 19mm, 3.20 g. Heraclea mint. Struck AD 324-325. Draped bust right / Fausta or Salus standing facing, head left, holding two children in her arms; SMHΔ. RIC VII 80. Fine, green patina.

Fausta, daughter of Emperor Maximian and wife of Constantine I, was empress during the pivotal transition from pagan Rome to the Christian empire. Honored with the title Augusta, she appears on coinage with classical personifications like Salus, Spes, and Venus, representing imperial harmony and prosperity. Though her political end was tragic—executed by Constantine—her coins remain an important part of the Constantinian numismatic legacy.
